How to set up a free remote control session on your PC

To assist me to remotely control your Windows PC,

when directed to do so, click this orange and green link:

Depending on the browser you are using, you may be presented with the option to Run or Save the ShowMyPC3825.exe file. If you can, choose Run. If the only choice is to save it, navigate to where the file is saved and double-click it to run it. (It may be saved in your computer’s Downloads folder.) A Windows User Account Control prompt like this one will appear. Click Yes. A ShowMyPC application appears. Click the Start a Meeting button. This windows appears. Check both boxes and click Allow. After a few seconds it will generate a 12-digit code which you can read out to me over the phone.
If fewer than 12 digits are showing, it is because your Windows font size is set to more than 100%. All 12 digits are present, but do not fit in the window. Place the cursor in the window and use the keyboard’s left and right arrow keys to reveal the hidden digits.
Got all that? Great! Now click on this link to get started:? Great.
